Finally,
that fat cat makes a video game appearance! In Garfield's first video game
adventure he takes the Genesis to new heights in terms of graphics and sound!
Being sucked into the TV for a sort of Gex-like adventure, Garfield must
make his way from channel to channel(each with a new, interesting TV world)
to get out. What's it all about? It's a cartoony sidescrolling adventure game. Playing as Garfield you'll explore the various TV genres that he'll get sucked into, and try to find a way out. Each genre, or level, puts Garfield in another costume with a new weapon to swat enemies with and a net of objectives. In too-cool Garfield style, Odie and other characters make appearances as either bosses or background scenery. Very cool stuff. |

Graphics - Amazing! From the rain forest to Transylvania, the graphics are superb! The colors are so vibrant, and the animation is excellent! The Ranger X-like bonus levels are also seriously impressive.
Sound - Great! All of the music is very well done and fits the mood of the level. Wait until you hear the all of the sounds going on in the rain forest level, truly impressive!
Control - Garfield won't stop on a dime and sometimes things can get a bit hectic when you're being attacked. Overall though, Garfield still gets the job done!
AI - Pretty cheap, unfortunately. The thing that saves it is the extremely easy level the game is set on(in normal). You'll take hit after hit but won't be bothered by it because of the abundant powerups.
Replay value - You'll play it again just to see the gorgeous levels and the cool endbosses! Or you could just play it to the Egyptian stage and pretend it's PowerSlave.....heh, heh.
