Note: All gifs were made from the Genesis version of MK3. As per usual, my disclaimer of the gifs not accurately portraying the game's animation, speed or framerate apply here. The gifs have also had their color palette reduced to help out those with modems.

John Turk not only plays Shang Tsung, but also Sub-Zero and *every* ninja in UMK3.
In the arcade, Sindel would exclaim "That was fun!" after kicking the field goal in her Friendship.
Jax's "Stomp" fatality is, quite possibly, one of the crappiest in the entire game.
The Skeleton Rip, though goofy, was always one of my favorites. I was surprised to see it come back in MK: DA.
What in the HELL were they thinking with the MK2 Drop Fatality!?

Kerri Hoskins originally played one of the cheerleaders in the NBA Jam games before being recruited to be the new Sonya.
In the arcade version, actual MK characters would run across the screen during Stryker's Friendship.
Smoke was once human, and in UMK3 you can actually play him in that form.
In the first revision of MK3, SZ's Ice Clone move was UNBLOCKABLE. If you did it to someone right after kicking or sweeping them to the ground, it would become an un-avoidable trap. It was shortly done away with by the 2nd revision.
Cyrax's codename while the game was in development was "Mustard".

Sektor's codename while the game was in development was "Ketchup". He is also a secret character in MKG on the Dreamcast.
Sal Divita, of NBA Jam fame, plays Nightwolf and all of the cyber-ninjas.
Sheeva's model, like Kintaro and Goro, is actually a claymation miniature with a wire skeleton.
For Kung Lao's Friendship, what you don't get out of the gif is the dog "yelping" as he catches the hat.
In the first revision of the MK3 arcade unit, Kabal had a combo that could take a whopping 75% of your life bar away.
Shao Kahn's Tower
The Pit III
The Subway
Babality
Friskality!
This one is actually better, imo, than the arcade's version. In the arcade, they'd just fall throw the floors, as if they weren't even there. Here they actually bounce threw them, making it look pretty painful.
The Pit has shown up in every MK game except MK: DA.
You'll notice that in the Subway, the train will either take you to the 300N block of Boon or the 400E block of Tobias...
I cannot believe they wasted their time and the game's size on bringing this -ality back.
Bad cat!!!
