Hardcore, console-style platforming...on the Mac!? Yes indeed, and a fine example of how to do it right. Excellent, mind numbing graphics, a rockin' soundtrack and superb control make this one of the best damn games on the Mac, like, ever!

Getting it to run:

Difficulty: Easy
Configuring iShock:
Moderate

The game has two ways of being installed:

1. You can run the installer, this will basically move the contents of the Jazz 2 Folder onto your HD, and will, optionally install Apple Game Sprockets 1.5 and Apple Sound Manager 3.2.1(both of which, if you have OS 9.2.2, you don't need, so uncheck them if you are going to go for this method of installation).

2. You can simply drag the Jazz 2 folder off the CD onto your HD.

To get the iShock configured to work with Jazz, you'll have to use its setup menu and have it emulate the keyboard. Kind of a pain, but you just have to do it once, and you're done.
Learning from your own mistakes is an incredible thing, and after doing each and every one of these I think you will find much enlightenment in what I like to call:

Tips to avoid feeling like a complete jackass:

* The game runs fine in any of the resolution and color bit depths. On top of that, it doesn't require the CD, and everything can be changed on the fly...there are no real tips here folks...it's just good, solid fun with very little setup time.
