Patches?
None that I have found.

A very hard point and click game! Though, as hard as it is, this game is still amazingly good. Exploring the alien world, interacting with the other characters and finding your way are all seriously worth experiencing. I highly recommend this game.

Getting it to run:

Difficulty: Easy
Configuring iShock:
NA

As easy as popping in the CD and clicking on "The Dig" game icon. One quick note though: After you click on it, you will be given an error warning that you are using a CD Rom that is incompatible with The Dig, and that you should installed the CD Rom driver(5.1.1) that is on the disc. DO NOT do this. Just hit "Ok" and the game will start, no problems.

As for saving, just create a folder to house your game saves and you are set.
Learning from your own mistakes is an incredible thing, and after doing each and every one of these I think you will find much enlightenment in what I like to call:

Tips to avoid feeling like a complete jackass:

* Switch you screen res to 640X480 before you start the game.
* Turn on Graphic Smoothing to clean up the sprites a bit.
