Hidden Features:

Extended Special Edition: On the main menu screen on Disc One, select “Special Edition”, this will make on of the Terminator’s eyes glow. Now, from there you will have to enter the actual date of “Judgment Day”: 8/29/97. To do this, hit 8 then enter, hit 2 then hit enter, etc until you finish. As you do this you will notice a small block in the right hand, lower corner will start to spell something out. When finished it will spell out “The Future is not set”. Once that has been displayed both of the Terminator’s Eyes will glow and you will be able to select the “Extended Special Edition”.

Mini Messages: After inserting Disc Two into you DVD, let it set there, do not touch your remote. Every 30 seconds a box in the bottom, left hand side of the screen will begin to glow with electricity. When it says “Join the Resistance”, and you click on it, it will take you to a flaky message from John Connor where he talks about the resistance and then it sends you to Artisan’s Website(insert Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail “yay” here). If the box glows and there is no text, click on it for a nice ad for “Swelltone” featuring Beethoven’s head being blasted with sound and shattering, revealing a terminator endo-skeleton beneath(something I’ll bet most historians never figured out about him). Finally, if you leave the DVD alone past those two things, the final mini message is for the T-1000 himself, oozing out of the screen, telling you to “Get out”.

“Time’s running out Sarah...”
Now I know that this may be a bit old for a review, but this is just something that every DVD owner should have in his/her collection. Not only does it include the Theatrical and Special Editions, but also the Extended Special Edition as well. The extended SE includes one more scene as well as the alternate ending; both give the film a more complete feel. The movie is excellent, but before even making it to that you are treated to some of the best 3D menus ever created! Various tours of Skynet as well as the war outside its walls are shown to you in silky smooth CGI renders as you are taken to your particular destination.

Features for Nuts:
Ok, now, I will admit that even though I won’t buy a DVD that is not the super-ultra-hardcore-limited-amazingly-hyped special edition, I rarely actually look into the extras that I am given. The second disc of T2: Ultimate Ed. is no exception. Granted, if you are a hardcore Terminator fan you will be in absolute nirvana as you sift through hour and after hour of non-stop, seemingly endless documentaries, story boards, interviews, etc. There is enough to keep you busy for days…

Ultimate? Hell yeah!
No fucking around, when Artisan says “Ultimate Edition” they mean it! This is not the Disney, somewhat-kind-of-special
….until the outrageously expensive two disc set comes out Ultimate edition they like to fuck the public out of. Artisan should be given a medal for giving the fans exactly what they wanted: Every version of the film, all the extras they could cram in and packaging to absolutely die for.

“Get Out!”
Without a doubt, a DVD that you MUST have in your collection no matter what; no fucking around, get it today if you do not have it yet. The movie is absolutely amazing, and with the new scenes, is very complete. Everything you’ve ever wanted to know is included: From Reese to the reprogramming of the Terminator to the effects of being frozen, then blown to bits on the T-1000. It’s all here, and all very well done, making this one of the best Sci-Fi movies and DVD discs of all time.

Movie: 95 - Solid plot, great action!
DVD: 100 - Great packaging, non-stop special features!
