Why?:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just love writting and I have not seen Mutation Nation basic move
list on the net.

If you fail to know; Mutation Nation and it's characters are
copyright of the Dead and Reborn SNK; now know as SNK NEO GEO; so any
missuse of the characters on the game may brought upon you legal
actions.

Also; never do use this guide or part of it's information without
giving the credit; also, do not use this guide to make any kind of
profitable business or any means of marketing.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Basic Moves:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Note that both characters do share all of moves.

Punch: Tap A.

Normal Chain: Tap A and make succesfully 7 hits without moving from
your place... the damage this does is equal to 10 normal punches
(The last three attacks worths two punches damage each).

Air Chain: Tap A and hold up while doing so; this works exactly as
the Normal Chain; but I found it useful agaisnt the few enemies that
hit you between the Normal Chain -Sub Bosses- this Chain does not
work against bosses... I found this Chain to be more effective with
the second player; beause he can bounce back A LOT after the last hit;
this chain also does 10 hits damage; just as the normal chain.

Quick Chain: Tap A and hold down... this will make the character do
several hits that worths for 10 hits; it is just like the Air Chain;
it is imposible to be hit after the fourth hit, and with the little
benefit that you can easily juggle your enemy afterwards; with the
second player the last hit can miss; so i believe it is better with
the first player.

Uppercut: Press A + B... this will make your character give a quick
uppercut that knocks down the enemy and worths for 2 punches damage;
you can direct your character during the entire move; you can cancel
the normal chain or the quick chain with this; if you have trouble
hitting the 2 buttons at the same time you can hold one and then
press the other.

Throw: While near the enemy; press punch to hold them and then input
any direction or button to hit them with your knee (1st player) or
with your head (2nd player)

Kick: When the enemy is at a certain range; instead of punching them
the character will kick them; note that the kick has more range than
the standar punch.

Jumping: Press B; you can direct your character while you are doing it;
you can also increase the high of the jump by holding the button.

Air Stright Kick: Give a short jump and press A; also you can give a
high jump and press the button before you reach the best hight; it
worths 2 punches damage.

Jumping Deep Kick: Give a high jump and then press the button while
you are at the best high; ot worths 2 punches damage.

Aerial Spin: ???... I have performed this at random; I know not how
it is done.

Desperation Techniques: Hold A; when the Bar is full release A button,
when the bar is full you can hold it for a while, if you do not release
after a few moments the bar will get empty.

This move will change depending on the letter you have; these are
the effects:

B (red): Explosion Attack = this is the best; the most damaging one.

D (brown): Tornado Attack = this is the second best; it can hit twice
on subbosses and normal characters.

T (blue): Thunder God Attack = similar to D; but it hits only once.

A (yellow): Spirit Attack = the worst; using this the character will
throw shadows of himself to damage, hits
once.

Orange Circle: One death blow = this is no letter; but adds one to the
letter you currently have; for example
if you have 3 red letters and you eat
1 orange circle you will end up with 4
red letters.

* All the letters attacks hits all enemies, you are totally
invulnerable and do not cost energy; also know that every time you
take a letteror an orange circle it will restore one block of energy;
also note that the maximum number of letters of one kind you can have
is 5. *

No letters left: First player will use a lightning kick and the second
player will use a lariat; you can move while doing
this.

* This cost energy; hits only enemies near the hitting frame; cost
energy and you can be knock out of this *

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Game Rules:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
As far as I know; there are only 2 important unspocken rules on the
game:

- When performing a Chain; if you do not move you will not stop the
chain; for example if you kill an enemy with 4 hits; if in some time
more; no matter how much time; and enemy appears and you have not
move you will do the last three hits on him; I only say this because
the last hits of the chains are not as quick as the first ones... so
you can may not recieve some hits for not knowing this; also; if you
do not move but do miss some hits the chain will "reset".

- Juggling; on this game you can juggle the enemy from many attacks...
this seems to be the "grand daddy" of AvP... the most usual juggle
starters are the Quick Chain and a Body impact; from the Quick Chain
(listed on basic moves) you can do 2 punches and then an Uppercut; that
is the best I have gotten (no corners on this game after all); and the
"body impact" is what happens when you knock down an enemy; by any
means; and his flying Body hits another enemy; the enemy that was hit
with the flying body is left vulnerable for you to juggle... the only
enemies that break this rule are the bosses; that can not be juggled,
and te "flower womans" that can be juggled on any hit, in fact; moves
that should leave her standing will send them on the air for you to
attack her.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bosses Strategies:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mostly use my letters attacks on the subbosses and then fight
straight and square against bosses, but in most cases the game provide
enough letters to kill or damage the bosses and the subbosses; bosses
have attacks that leave them "blinking"; on that moment they can not be
hit and also note that bosses can not be NEVER juggled; also there is
time for the boss fight (99 sec.); if the time runs out; you will die.

First boss; form 1 =

Keep yourself close; but where he can not hit you (under him or over
him), when he miss an attack hit him from behind with your quick chain;
you must fight this from twice.

First boss; form 2 =

Just as the first one; but be careful with is jumping attack; that
you must jump up or down to avoid; you can also store the Thunder
Attack and use it to finish him.

Second Boss =

This gal is hard; do not attack her when she gives birth to bugs;
wait for her to punch or dance to hit her from behind; unlike the first
boss; give 2 or 3 punches and then an A + B; otherwise she may hit you;
I mostly advice to save 3 Fire Bombs to get her on low energy; but
shot the fire bombs while she is giving birth to bugs; otherwise she
may dodge them... to avoid her jumping attack you must move up or down;
the opposite way she is traveling.

Third Boss =

Kill him just like the first one; I mean, keep yourself close; but
where he can not hit you (under him or over him), when he miss an
attack hit him from behind with your quick chain; note that this boss
has a lot of range, because he can throw his chain aiming foward.

Fourth Boss =

Kill just as the first and third one; but giving 2 or 3 hits and
then an uppercut (A + B); Store as many Fire Bombs as you can (I
usually get here with 3; because I used two to wipe out the subbosses
before him). When he gets on the celing he walks next to you; then
he drops on you shooting some bombs; you must be far from the corner
and near the top or down of the stage; you can avoid him by jumping
far from him (if you are on the corner, you are done for) and then
jump over the bombs far away from the boss (bombs always fall on the
center of the screen); because it can be un healty to remain in front
of him (he has a running attack); as with all the bosses; shoot the
boms while his is attacking and while he is vulnerable (on the celing
he is invulnerable).

Fifth Boss =

This boss is tough; you can not hit his shadow; but you must not
concern on that; from all the subbosses and bosses; this is the only
one that allows you to perform a "Final Fight" infinite on him; to
perform the infinite easily just give some attacks (3, 4 or 5), then
move a little up; I mean a little; like half step, and then repeat, but
move down... if by any chance the enemy know you out of this (VERY
unlikely) you must stay away from the shadow and hit him again... to
dodge is air headbut move foward, to where he jumped; if you get away
from him he will hit you and if you move to much up or down you may be
hit by his shadow; so the best thing is to infinite him.

Last Boss =

There is not great strategies for him; you can kill him just like
the second boss, 2 or 3 punches with an A + B from behind; but note
that he has some attacks that allow him to turn around while attacking;
like his flame breath... it is just a matter of patience.

* By the way; I have cleared the game with 2 credits; so do not be
discoraged by the fact that machine is bitching *
